Happy Turkey Day!!

November 25th, 2009

OK so I have to make this quick…we are currently on the road headed to my parents house in Western MA for the Holiday (gotta love WAN cards!) - I’m sharing a quick Christmas Card with you…it was created with all Cosmo Cricket stuff - such a cute line!

The button is actually from Basic Grey…matches quite well.

I wanted to send a big THANKS to all you blog readers out there. I am very thankful for you this time of year - I cannot believe how much my blog has grown over the course of 1 year! It’s great & so much fun. I will be back in a few days after the madness of eating turkey is over & will share more projects with you then.

P.S. I snagged a new tool the other day at Michaels…I know, I have a shopping problem. (someone actually commented & asked me how much I shopped there…the answer is….you DON’T want to know…LOL!!) Anyway…I have always wanted a ScorPal - but I’ve never got around to it, and I didn’t want to pay $40 for something that simply scores…

but I found something at Michael’s for $19.99 and used my 40% coupon. So yea, it was $12. And…umm…it’s awesome??!?!

It’s made by Martha Stewart. I have no idea what exactly the product name is, I’ve searched high & low on the interwebs & can’t find anything. The only thing I did find was this handy blog comparison which compares the MS one vs. the Scorpal. So…if you are interested, check it out! :)

Product Review: 3M’s Post-It Craft Paper

September 23rd, 2009

The lovely people over at 3M sent me some samples of their new Post-It Craft Paper to play with. This paper comes in all different colors, is a bit thinner than cardstock, but has a sticky back to it so that all you have to do is cut, peel the backing off & stick onto your project. I thought I would share a video of my experiences with it, and some project ideas I had for it.

You can currently find this product at Joann’s.

Here are some pics of the projects I made, be sure to watch the video for details on a few of them…

Paper Pieced Card:

Simple card made using punches, adhering Craft paper straight to the card:

using the Craft paper as a mask:

Overall I think it’s very useful, especially in your Cricut. (Provocraft actually endorses this paper). I am sometimes hesitant to use my Cricut for paper piecing because it involves lots of pieces, glue & patience, LOL. So the fact that this paper comes off the cutting mat with adhesive already on it works great for me.

Anyway, here is the video - hope you enjoy!!
